What prices do I stock up?

I have a general price list that I use to stock up. Remember some areas are more expensive than others so your prices might vary. No grocery store in my area double or triple coupons - call your local stores to see is they ever have double coupon days. Also know your stores coupon policy and keep one with you just in case your cashier doesn't know it. You can even carry extras to leave with your cashier. I try to use the same cashier if they are nice and don't mind all my coupons some of mine are asking me how I do this so they can start also.

Razors (MACH 3) $1
Cereal $1
Floss FREE
Toothpaste FREE
DO FREE
Toothbrushes FREE
Battery toothbrushes $2
Tuna $.59
Can Veggies $.59
Laundry soap $1
Fabric Softener $1
Shaving cream FREE
Kandoo Wipes $.50

Here in California we have to pay tax on the retail amount before your coupons. So far I have not had the luck to walk out without paying a thing.

There are some things that I am not willing to give up like my soft toilet paper and Cambells cream of mushroom so I try to save money in other areas to fit them in my budget.

I hope this helps you.

May 2, 2001

I broke up my transactions to get my maximum savings. Remember that Walgreens will only give you 1 Register Reward per transaction so I had to do 4.

CVS
Trans #1
BIC Soleil women's razor $6.99
$3 off manufacture coupon (cpn)
$3 Extra Bucks (EB)

Trans #2
Colgate Max Fresh Toothpaste $2.77 each (I got 2)
$0.75 cpn x2
$2.77 EB x2
Used $3 EB from previous trans and paid $1.50 cash. I made $1.50 using the cpn for .75 off from May 1st paper.

Trans #3
20 can of Friskies Cat food on sale for $4 for 10
$1 off 20 cpn
Used $5.54 EB from previous trans and paid $2.12

CVS Grand Total $8.17

WALGREENS
Trans #1-3
BIC Soleil women's razor $5.99 sale price
$3 cpn
$2 Register Rewards (RR)
paid $3.48

Trans #4
MACH 3 disposable razor 3 pack buy 1 get 1 (B1G1) 50% off (I got 6)
B1G1 FREE coupon x6
BIC Soleil women's razor $5.99 sale price
$3 cpn
$2 Register Rewards (RR)
paid $8.10

Trans #5
5 boxes of Kellogg's Corn pops $1.99 sale
Used my RR for $8 off and paid $1.95

I could have added something cheaper since they don't allow you to spend less than you RR so save money but Caleb goes through a lot of cereal.

Walgreens Grand Total $20.49

Today I spent a total of $28.66 and save $111.28. Not bad.

I go to the following websites to check for future sale fliers so I can plan my trip in advance for the most savings. I still always bring my coupon binder with me just in case I find a not advertised sale. At CVS a few weeks ago they had Tuna Helper on Clearance for $.71 ea and I had coupons for $.75 off 3. I bought all they had.
